"Graciously bestow upon all men felicity, the summit of which is the knowledge of the Gods." [Julian, Oration to the Mother of the Gods]

>"I am definitely a practicing Hindu."

>Why am I always the last to find out about these things? Anyway, I really love this picture of Swami Dharam Dev with Julia Roberts. That is all.

    >I like Lamb's piece on Julia Roberts — thanks for the link, Mary! In particular I think he is right to say that Roberts gives every appearance of being quite serious in her practice of Hinduism, and shows some real depth of knowledge, at least for a lay person.

    >Oh, and the full quote, from the latest edition of "Elle" magazine, is "The entire Roberts-Moder family [that is, Julia, her husband Danny Moder, and their three children] goes to temple together to chant and pray and celebrate. I'm definitely a practicing Hindu."

    >The photo was taken while Roberts was filming "Eat, Pray, Love" on location in India. If you do a google image search on "Swami Dharam Dev" is should one of the first hits.
